What Facebook is
Social network for friends and family, groups, events and Marketplace. Legitimate, but Marketplace scams are common, so meet sellers in person and never pay upfront.
Things to watch for
Paid a $5 billion FTC privacy settlement in 2019.
Is it down for everyone or just you?
The check above runs from our servers, not your device. If it says facebook.com is responding but the site won't load for you, the problem is on your end. Restart your router, try another network or your phone's data, clear your DNS cache, and switch off browser extensions one at a time.
