Is Gmail down right now?

gmail.com — live status, response speed and SSL.

Is it down for everyone or just you?

The check above runs from our servers, not your device. If it says gmail.com is responding but the site won't load for you, the problem is local. Restart your router, try your phone's data instead of wi-fi, clear your DNS cache, and switch off browser extensions one at a time.

Using Gmail safely

Email providers are the top target for phishing. Always type the address yourself instead of clicking a link in a message, and turn on two-factor authentication.
